Delivery

Your delivery location is where your driver will put your orders. Coolers are our top recommendation for delivery locations. Providing a location for delivery is required to use our service. When our driver arrives at your delivery location, your driver notes need to provide any information needed to find your delivery location. If you do not provide a location, our drivers will do their best to box up your order. In some cases, your driver may skip delivery if they are not able to provide a secure location for delivery.

All orders under $40.00 are subject to a $4 delivery fee. The ordering minimum is $11.00 of products, which equates to $15.00 with the $4 delivery fee. If your order total is below $11, the delivery fee will increase to reach the $15.00 minimum total.
Your account must have a payment method on file to create an account. Billing is processed by Doorstep within 36 hours prior to delivery. If payment is declined there will be no delivery until your payment processes.

To cancel an order after the cut off has passed, please email us at hello@localdoorstep.com. We will do our best to credit your account for the cancelled products, but some charges may be applied for perishable products that can not be resold. If your order is already out for delivery, you may not be subject to reimbursement.

If you would like to pause delivery, enter a delivery hold in your account settings. Select the start and end date for your delivery hold and all orders will be removed during that time. Any recurring orders will automatically resume after the delivery hold end date.

In extreme weather conditions it is very important to protect your products. In hot temperatures ice packs can be left in coolers, In cold temperatures towels can be left  in your cooler for your driver to wrap sensitive products.
If the road conditions are unsafe for our drivers, we will notify you of a route delay as early as possible. In some cases, delivery may come earlier, before a predicted storm. If severe weather is expected, please check email for any updates from Doorstep.

 

Bottle Deposits and Return Credits

Every half gallon glass bottle from Kappers' Big Red Barn will have a $3 deposit added. The bottles can be rinsed and returned for a $3 credit. 
Simply rinse clean and leave inside or near your cooler before delivery. Bottles can also be returned directly to Kappers' Big Red Barn. You will receive a $3 credit for every clean bottle returned.
Return credits can be viewed under Delivery History in your account information.
