An incredible natural sweetness with notes of white grape, nutmeg, fig and dried fruit. Coffees from Burundi have an uncommon allure when compared to other origins due to the logistical challenges presented by exporting from a small, landlocked country. This in combination with the unique profile associated with Burundi gets us really excited. This particular microlot comes to us from the Nemba washing station of the Kayanza region where fresh cherry is delivered, sorted for the highest quality, processed, fermented underwater for 12-24hrs and washed for 2hrs. One of the smallest of the growing regions, it stood out among the rest in our selection process for Burundi because of its incredibly dynamic, sparkling and well-balanced profile that represents the growing quality focused practices happening in country.
